Just a a reminder of what was said at Town hall meeting...
"We have AARP on board because they know its a good deal for there seniors." - Obama
"AARP would not endorsing a bill ti it was undermining Medicare" - Obama
AARP not "On Board"
Tom Nelson, AARP's Chief Operating Officer
"While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a Health Care Reform Bill that would reduce medicare benefits indication that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in congress are inaccurate"

- Yesterday, Obama tried to dispel the rumors that there would be a death panel or that the government would be pulling the plug on grandma. He did so by saying that the original idea of end of life conversations was in a bill drafted by a democrat and republican. Well that republican he was referring too, Johnny Isakson (R-GA), came out today clarifying that the he did not have anything to do with that bill.
- Obama's grandmother fell needed a hip replacement while battling cancer. When that happened Obama said he would gladly pay for her expenses out of pocket but said asking society to do that was a tougher moral question. He also said that elderly, chronically ill were accounting for 80% of health cost.

That means that if you sent every cent you made from Jan 1st until the date indicated above you would have paid off your state, federal and local taxes for the year.
So last year it was half the year's worth of wages went to taxes.
This year even more went to the government!

- The economy is so bad that Mexican immigrants are now being sent money from their families still in Mexico. Small rural villages in Mexico have turned into ghost towns as the exchange of money slows. Last year 25 billion dollars were sent to Mexico, more than the countries GDP. But that number has been reduced by 20% so fare this year.
