Obama Leaves Professor Gates Behind

Another wonderful blogger, American Thinker, took the time to analyze the body language in this photo. I find it very telling that the person that acted "stupidly" was the one who took the time to help Professor Gates down the stairs.

American Thinker also points out that it can be used as a good analogy for the Heath Care debate...Click here to see what he says

Obama's Word Count

As I was getting ready to go to bed last night I flip on the news just for some background noise. It was late so I wasn't paying attention or expecting any good information to pop out at me. Yet all of a sudden heard them talking about the Presidents words.

Here were some facts Politico Analysts found:

  • Obama is the President of a country engaged in two wars and facing terror threats at home and abroad
  • Obama has said more than a half-million words in public since taking office
  • He has said the word "health" more than “Iraq,” “Iran,” “Afghanistan” and “terrorism” combined.
  • He has said the word "economy" more than “Iraq,” “Iran,” “Afghanistan” and “terrorism” combined.
  • He says "jobs" twice more than "security" and four times more than "war".
  • "America" and "American" top the noun list with 2,929 mentions
  • "Gay" was uttered only 13 times
  • "Abortion was uttered only 15 mentions
  • "Immigration" was uttered only at 39 times
Ultimately he seems to be a President of a country experience peace not war and what seems to be true isn't always.

Chick Chat: The Argument against Obamacare

This nations is in a financial quagmire.

The national deficit has quadrupled since the new administration took office. The economy is not improving but instead continuing to see housing and unemployment suffer. Median home prices are "stabilizing" according to reports, but stabilization at low levels does not mean we are at the end of the fight. The number of new people registering for unemployment benefits rose "unexpectantly" last week and yet our President claims that we are heading in the "right direction" "as we begin to put an end to this recession." His words, not mine.

I will make this very clear right now, I am NO economic genius. I did mediocre at best in my college econ class, but where I faltered was not the basic concepts. Basic Economic Principles are pretty simple for anyone to understand. Take a moment and think back to that old musty college classroom and remember the things you learned there.

Spending what you don't have creates debt.
If you just print more money, the tender's worth weakens.
If you cut off supply of something, the demand rises and visa versa
The cost of something is what you give up to get it.
Everything is a trade off!

Not lets apply that to our current economic state. If you want to spend more money, we have to print more money. If you print more money, our dollar will be worth less. If you want more stimulus' and bailouts' then the debt/deficit will continue to rise. If the debt/deficit continues to rise we give up our financial stability and the generations to come will suffer from the trade offs we are making now.

Now lets apply some of those principles to another topic. If you want government run health care, you trade off on the supply of quality health care because the demand is rising. You give up the ability to be fiscally competitive in a free market. You give up the ability to change your mind, you trade off the right to make your own decisions concerning your health, your life and your death.

I am not a fear monger or a mobster. I am not paid by any grassroots organization to do research and put together my thoughts here on this little blog. I am not receiving compensation to get up and go hold signs up in 100 degree weather. I don't talk about the "scary" things because I want people to be frightened into thinking like me. I talk about the "scary" things because I want people to be informed by the truth.

I have to give Julia Hall at least some credit. The very first part of her question to Obama which was, "How do kids know what is true..." is a very valid question. Now, if we look beyond that statement we start to see the influence of her mother's connections, but I'm focusing on those little seven words for right now. So how do kids know what is true? How do ADULTS know what is true? Are the statements we are hearing from the President, Congress and Unions true? Or is it the claims from the rights that are verifiable?

Now I can't make that final decision for you, but I will ask you a few more things.

Which side has lied to us before? The Government or average American people? Which side has spent money in times where savings were the only solution? Government or average American people? Which side will live off of, work in and interact with the laws being proposed? Government or average American people? Which side will profit? The Government or average American people?

This argument is not against reform, it is against government control. Just like all of those TRUE pro-Obamacare Americans (people paid to go to protests are null and void), I do not believe that we are providing and regulating health care in an acceptable fashion. I believe that there are people who truly need financial help and those who are facing hardships because of pre-existing conditions. I want to help them too.

No one should live in the greatest health care country in the world and not be able to profit from their compatriots successes. Yet this plan has nothing to do with the sympathy and compassion we have to help those people. In fact, this bill has nothing to do with health or care as one great protester said. This bill is about control. Controlling an essential business, controlling the economy and ultimately controlling us, the American people.

It happened in Cuba. It's occurred in Venezuela, Russia, Nicaragua...it has happened in so many countries that at this point we are one of the few, if not the only government whose maintained a truly moderate amount of government control. We must hold on to whatever it is that made us want to live with that moderate interference. That moderation is what has kept us up in the forefront of technological and medical advances. It is what has allowed us to be able to voice our opinions without fear of retribution. Moderation is the pillar which we must stand on as we try to reign in the out of control government.

Dear Friend,

This is probably one of the longest emails I’ve ever sent, but it could be the most important.

Across the country we are seeing vigorous debate about health insurance reform. Unfortunately, some of the old tactics we know so well are back — even the viral emails that fly unchecked and under the radar, spreading all sorts of lies and distortions.

As President Obama said at the town hall in New Hampshire, “where we do disagree, let's disagree over things that are real, not these wild misrepresentations that bear no resemblance to anything that's actually been proposed.”

So let’s start a chain email of our own. At the end of my email, you’ll find a lot of information about health insurance reform, distilled into 8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, 8 common myths about reform and 8 reasons we need health insurance reform now.

Right now, someone you know probably has a question about reform that could be answered by what’s below. So what are you waiting for? Forward this email.

Thanks,
David

David Axelrod
Senior Adviser to the President

P.S. We launched www.WhiteHouse.gov/realitycheck <

For example, we've just added a video of Nancy-Ann DeParle from our Health Reform Office tackling a viral email head on. Check it out:

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage
  1. Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
  2. Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
  3. Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
  4. Ends Dropping of Coverage for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
  5. Ends Gender Discrimination: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
  6. Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
  7. Extends Coverage for Young Adults: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
  8. Guarantees Insurance Renewal: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won't be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

8 common myths about health insurance reform
  1. Reform will stop "rationing" - not increase it: It’s a myth that reform will mean a "government takeover" of health care or lead to "rationing." To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies.
  2. We can’t afford reform: It's the status quo we can't afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.
  3. Reform would encourage "euthanasia": It does not. It’s a malicious myth that reform would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform will help to cover these voluntary, private consultations for those who want help with these personal and difficult family decisions.
  4. Vets' health care is safe and sound: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will affect veterans' access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President's budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans.
  5. Reform will benefit small business - not burden it: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average.
  6. Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare "doughnut" hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.
  7. You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.
  8. No, government will not do anything with your bank account: It is an absurd myth that government will be in charge of your bank accounts. Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose. Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

8 Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform Now
  1. Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill. Learn more:http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/denied_coverage/index.html
  2. Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job. Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hiddencosts/index.html
  3. Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more:http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html
  4. Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes <http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes/>
  5. Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61% Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more:http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline <http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline/>
  6. The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more:http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction <http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/>
  7. Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people - one in every three Americans under the age of 65 - were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more:http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html
  8. The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance - projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform. Gibbs, White House Press Secretary: Town halls not indicative of what's going on in America.

Pharma deal:
Reporter: Can you say they were promised nothing in return?
Gibbs: We have come to an agreement to seek some saving from the pharm industry as part of health care reform.
Reporter: At what point are you going to release facts of the deals?
Gibbs: I think some of it will be written into the legislations that we will hopefully see going through Congress real soon
R: Why not release it now?
As I said yesterday some of those agreements are on the finance committee website

This should be interesting...
Major: Coulple things on the Public Option, it wasn't listed in the email that David Axelrod sent out today when he was defining prinicple goals for health care reform by my reading of it I didnt see any mention of a public option as a mechanism for achieving what you just allied
Gibb: Let me be clear, I though I wasn't going to do it but I'll take another wack at it. This is an option that provides choice and competition in an otherwise closed or narrow insurance market. That's the President's goal is to ensure that it ... you have something that competes with the only game in town. I believe that is in David's email.
Major: Speaking of Davids's email how is the list for who it receives it determined?
Gibbs: I believe its from people who have signed up to receive email updates from the white house
Major: The reason I ask
OFA has nothing to do with what
People who have never signed up for anything related to Obama's anything

WHAT TO SAY TO DOUBTFUL LIBERALS.....
  • Some Liberal argued that the Ramussen poll is not really as accurate as FoxNews is implying. Why? Because on Real Clear Politics they have taken all the different polling companies averages all the polls.
  • HOWEVER, it was pointed out that the Ramussen Report polls likely voters while all but one other company poll registered voters. That makes a BIG difference!!! You can poll registered voters until you are blue in the face but when it comes to election day how many of them will actually make it to the booth.

Do NOT read if you can't handle politically incorrect jokes!!!

A very liberal friend of my mothers sent me this joke. So seeing that it was brought to my attention by a liberal I feel like I can share it with everyone.

THIS IS A JOKE!!

A driver is stuck in a traffic jam going into downtown Chicago .

Nothing is moving north or south. Suddenly a man knocks on his window.

The driver rolls down his window and asks, 'What happened, what's the hold up?'

'Terrorists have kidnapped Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Nancy Pelosi, Rosie O'Donnell, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. They are asking for a $100 Million ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them with gasoline and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, taking up a collection.'

The driver asks, 'On average, how much is everyone giving?'

“About a gallon.”

Fox Flashback: Aug 12th (Hannity)

In Houston, TX, Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee (D - TX) took the Townhall Meeting Disrespect to whole new level by taking a cell phone call while a cancer survivor was talking and asking her question.

Michelle Malkin Guest
  • Congresswoman claims that she called the Health care hot line to get answers for her constituents. Seems like she came to the meetings very prepared.
  • As an explanation she said that in Congress you have to multi-task
  • She used her phone while two other people were asking her questions.

Why aren't we hearing real answers about the important questions about keeping health care, end of life conversation, privacy etc.- Hannity
  • They are a distraction from the emotionalism and anecdotes with which Obama is selling Obamacare. the people that ask the questions are being mocked and treated as joke. There is now that questioning starting to arise even in other media and this is why they didn't want to have this long recess. The longer people have to understand the more in trouble they will be.
.............................................................................................................................................

Apparently Obama compared the Post Office and Fedex/UPS yesterday. Basically he stated that the Fedex/UPS is doing well in this economic time btu the Post Office is suffering. So what he basically said was the Medicare/Medicaid is suffering because of Public Insurance.

Really?

So the solution to that is what?

Get rid of the private healthca...I mean private mailing options.

.............................................................................................................................................

Hannity featured a woman who spoke out at a town hall meeting in Englewood, NJ with Congressman Steve Rothman. Diane Thurber-Wamsley talked about a very important issue in the health care bill, government funded abortions. (if anyone can find her video please let me know!)

See most people are saying that abortions aren't even in the Health Care bill....but that is the problem! Not too long ago some 19 House Democrats who are actually pro-life (Murtha of PA included) sent Pelosi a letter detailing some very imporant facts/demands.
  • "Without an explicit exclusion, abortion could be included in the a government subsidized heath care plan under general health care. The health care reform package produced by Congress will be landmark, and with legislation as important as this, abortion must be addressed clearly in the bill text."
.............................................................................................................................................

WASTE ALERT!

  • Here is an idea to reducing government waste. In a New York jail 11 inmates had collected $30,000 in unemployment benefits and were slated to receive another $18,000.
.............................................................................................................................................

EXTREME ALERT!!

"Climate Change will intensify droughts, floods and other natural disaster. Water shortages will affect hundresd of millions of people...social unrest- even violence- could follow.......We have the power to change course. But we must do it now...We have just four months. Four months to secure the future of our planet."

Pat Caddell: As a democrat we are supposed to be party of common people...The DNC is on lock stop and barrel by the white house...by coming out and calling people a mob.... its unprecedented, beyond insensitivity it was stupid!
Hannity: That's interesting that you said that, I've never heard a democrat say that. The DNC is Obama.

Pat Caddell: I think they've (democrats) decide to push the mob idea because they want to get the issue off the specifics.

Talking Points Commentary:
  • Robert Gibb said to Matt Lauer on NBC News' Today, "I think we all have something to loose if we have cable TV coming to town hall meetings in order to put health care reform on hold for another year and have special interests back in charge."
He was basically making a shot at any news source that is covering the Town hall meetings unbiasedly...hmmm I wonder what cable news network would be unbiased like that? How ridiculous is it to imply that FoxNews is trying to destroy the health care reform...of course I'm sure there are plenty of liberals that think that way.

Was the Obama Townhall Legitimate?? Or was it staged?????

The answer to that is simple but I'll let you decided. Lets flashback to the conversation Obama had with a little girl at the townhall meeting....

Obama: All right. Let's -- this young lady right here. All right, this young lady right here. She's still enjoying her summer. When do you go back to school?
Julia Hall: I go back to school September 3rd.
Obama: September 3rd, okay. What's your name?
Julia Hall: Julia Hall from Malden, Massachusetts.
Obama: Nice to meet you, Julia. (Applause.)
Julia Hall: I saw -- as I was walking in, I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming health care. How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can -- that help more of us?
Obama: Well, the -- I've seen some of those signs. (Laughter.)

Now lets look at some facts:
Julia Hall, is the daughter of Kathleen Manning Hall, the coordinator of Massachusetts Women for Obama during the election.
Julia Hall attended the Easter egg hunt at the White House.

For more suspicion activities check out Michlle Malkin's blogpost, The Illustrated Guide to Obamacare Human Props

..........................................................................................................................................
  • In Canada...8 week wait for radiation, 8 month for colonoscopy and a 25% higher cancer rate.
  • Sen Clair McCaskill (D-MO) agrees that the townhall meetings are not manufactured by the GOP. It is a grassroots campaign and individuals attending the meetings but thats what America is for. She agrees that she needs to listen to the public.

"While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a Health Care Reform Bill that would reduce medicare benefits indication that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in congress are inaccurate"

  • Yesterday, Obama tried to dispel the rumors that there would be a death panel or that the government would be pulling the plug on grandma. He did so by saying that the original idea of end of life conversations was in a bill drafted by a democrat and republican. Well that republican he was referring too, Johnny Isakson (R-GA), came out today clarifying that the he did not have anything to do with that bill.
Oh no, don't fire the person who did the research Barack? Of course, now mildly informed Americans who only pay half attention, have heard you claim that a Republican helped with the end-of-life issue. Clever. Verrrrrry Clever!
  • Obama's grandmother fell needed a hip replacement while battling cancer. When that happened Obama said he would gladly pay for her expenses out of pocket but said asking society to do that was a tougher moral question. He also said that elderly, chronically ill were accounting for 80% of health cost.
Hello Mr. President. Of course the elderly and chronically ill are the ones using the health care system. A young health person who is not suffering from a chronicle illness would have no NEED for healthcare. Where did you go to college again?

Cost of Government Day

occurred on Wednesday, July 16, 2008

That means that if you sent every cent you made from Jan 1st until the date indicated above you would have paid off your state, federal and local taxes for the year.
So last year it was half the year's worth of wages went to taxes.
This year even more went to the government!

  • The economy is so bad that Mexican immigrants are now being sent money from their families still in Mexico. Small rural villages in Mexico have turned into ghost towns as the exchange of money slows. Last year 25 billion dollars were sent to Mexico, more than the countries GDP. But that number has been reduced by 20% so fare this year.

Manning Speaks Out About The Mack Daddy

Let me preference this with an, I don't necessarily agree with everything he says but he is hysterical and right on point with other things! Don't worry Manning I would let you join in!

Tidbits To Ponder

Here is some information that I heard a while back (on Hannity I think)...It is relevant and not in some cases. But just some good things to know.

.........................................................................................

  • Fannie Mae Chief Executive Officer, Herb Allison was appointed by Obama to run the Treasury office overseeing the $700 billion bank rescue. money...wonderful!
  • Wisconsin is spending 47 million dollars worth of stimulus money buying rail cars from Spain...

Here is something we all know, Veterans health care is run by the government
Lets look at it a little closer now:
  • There have been botched radiation treatments to approx. 100 vets
  • 10,000 Veterans have been exposed to HIV and hepatitis through routine procedures
  • The facilities are 4 times older than private facilities
  • The facilities are half as likely to pass random exceptions
  • Wait times are twice as long
  • A claim can take up to twice as long (180) as a private claim
  • Claim appeals takes 657 days.
  • It's bad enough that the Government Accountability Office says the VA is near a breaking point.
  • In Rhode Island teenagers 16 and older are allowed to be strippers as long as there home by 11:30...btw did you know that indoor prostitution is legal.

Chick Chat: Importance of Standing Together

As a little girl I was always interested in the past. I would beg my parents to take me to Washington DC, Monticello, Mt Vernon, Williamsburg and St.Augustine, instead of Disney World. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I was strangely obsessed with history as a child, because I wasn't. I did love history, but the thing I was really obsessed with was lives. I wanted to gather information on what life was like!

I wanted to know what life was like back when the basic ideas of this country were being formed. Life when Great Britain was oppressing people's liberties. Life when slavery was legal. Life when women were considered subservient minds. Life when people could pack up all their things into a wagon and travel thousands of miles for a fresh start. Life, good and bad, was what I was interested in.

Although I was interested in the lives of Americans that came before me, I was never interested in government. I never truly considered the influence government and politics had over all the other aspects of life. I was apathetic to the impact government had in the past and therefore apathetic to the impact it was having in my life.

It has taken me a long time to stop being apathetic and realize that I had no true understanding of our past without looking at the government's role. And without an understand of our past we have no true understanding of our future.

It would have been so easy if I would have had the constitution to study history and become a professor. For some reason, I never had the persistence to become particularly well-versed in any specific era. However, what I have come to realize is that I've gain an understanding and deep appreciation for the struggles of America, our Lady Liberty.
She has gone through a lot in past few hundred years.
Lady Liberty has stood strong against the winds of change many times over and I pray that she has no cracks of weakness now as the most critical gusts face her dead on.

I hope that others can take the time to stop being apathetic too. I hope that we can come together as a people and realize that we are Lady Liberty and without us...without all of us standing strong together for our fundamental rights we will have no recognizable future.

Highlights from the Health Care Bill with page Numbers

Find below some an outline of some of the facts found in the bill

..................................................................................................

What's really in Obama's health care reform bill? Almost no one knows, and here's why: It's 1,017 pages long and written in an alien form of bureaucratic English that can barely be decoded by earthlings.

And yet, astonishingly, a U.S. Army translator has been found who speaks "Washington Doublespeak" and he was kind enough to decode the bill and post his plain-language findings over at FreeRepublic.com (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f...).

Below, we reprint what he found in the health care reform bill. As you read this, keep in mind that some of these translations are a bit loose with the interpretations, but I've personally spot-checked these points, and they are indeed all contained in the bill in one form or another (shrouded in Doublespeak language, of course).

From CMS at FreeRepublic.com:

• Page 16: States that if you have insurance at the time of the bill becoming law and change, you will be required to take a similar plan. If that is not available, you will be required to take the government option!
• Page 22: Mandates audits of all employers that self-insure!
• Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
• Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
• Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. None.
• Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services.
• Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Healthcard.
• Page 59: The federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
• Page 65: Taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans (example: SEIU, UAW and ACORN)
• Page 72: All private healthcare plans must conform to government rules to participate in a Healthcare Exchange.
• Page 84: All private healthcare plans must participate in the Healthcare Exchange (i.e., total government control of private plans)
• Page 91: Government mandates linguistic infrastructure for services; translation: illegal aliens
• Page 95: The Government will pay ACORN and Americorps to sign up individuals for Government-run Health Care plan.
• Page 102: Those eligible for Medicaid will be automatically enrolled: you have no choice in the matter.
• Page 124: No company can sue the government for price-fixing. No "judicial review" is permitted against the government monopoly. Put simply, private insurers will be crushed.
• Page 127: The AMA sold doctors out: the government will set wages.
• Page 145: An employer MUST auto-enroll employees into the government-run public plan. No alternatives.
• Page 126: Employers MUST pay health care bills for part-time employees AND their families.
• Page 149: Any employer with a payroll of $400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays an 8% tax on payroll
• Page 150: Any employer with a payroll of $250K-400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays a 2 to 6% tax on payroll
