Just Another Example of Corrupt Journalism

Interesting story on The O'Reily Factor featuring Bernie Goldberg.

I don't remember hearing about this back in Sept 2004, probably because I was too busy being a freshmen in college, but lets do a quick review. Apparently 55 days before the election, Dan Rather did a 60 Minutes special on how George W. Bush was basically given preferential treatment during the Vietnam War. That he supposidly avoided service by joining the Texas Air National Guard. Well it was proven that this report was completely false within minutes of the show airing.

Bernie Goldberg was recently told to research a portion of the public documents about the scandal. While reading he found that it clearly states on page 130-something of the document that Mary Mapes, former CBS producer, knew in advance that Bush had indeed wanted to go to Vietnam.

That is the gist of the whole story but make sure to go read the whole article at BernardGoldberg.Com

.........................................................................................................................................................

I wish I could say that I was surprised by this story but I'm not in the least. The liberal media is so corrupt on so many levels that it does not surprise me that they would have let the story run even while knowing that it was completely fabricating. The real sad part is that Dan Rather was allowed to take the majority of the blame and backlash for the report. It seems that they are so intent on destroying opposition that they would rather throw a comrade under the bus than allow the truth to be heard.
