We had a wonderful turn out today. According to several sources we had about 1,000 people there and there were hundreds more that showed their support by honking.
It was another wonderful day in our democracy!!

Good for you and your beliefs, down with socialism! So you will be forfeiting your social security card and not using medicare right? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Anonymous comment about social security and medicare, those of us who have worked our whole lives to prepare for our retirement and do not depend on any government programs are intelligent enough to know that there will be no such thing as social security and medicare!

ReplyDeleteI appreciate the wit and sarcasm but I would check your facts next time. As another poster mentioned when I am old enough to reap the "benefits" of the government programs, there will no longer be any money left! Obama himself admitted Medicare was in financial ruin.
My question for you is, when you have a government run insurance plan and they refuse to give you a procedure that you need, will you forfeit your Obamacare card?? Oh no, wait, you will not be able too because there won't be another option.
so where can i sign up for this "obamacarecard?" does this mean i must forfeit my access to, um ... trash collections? the local fire dept.? the postal service?

1. Please refrain from derogatory nicknames. Just because I'm a conservative doesn't mean I like to be refereed to as if I was living in the 1950's. Baby is not my name.
ReplyDelete2. Trash collection is NOT always run by federal government. In many places it is local governments or many times private business aka you must pay for that.
3. The fire dept and police department are run by the state, not federal government.
4. Funny how the postal service is the only one up there that is in a financial mess. What organization runs them? Right, the federal government.
Unfortunately, some parts of our lives must be controlled by a larger federal government, but that doesn't mean that they have the right to control our banks, private companies or health care. Everything government touches is more expensive, more complicated and more mismanaged than anything in the private sector.
I realized the superfluous amount of government control quite a long time ago but in my 23 short years I haven't been able to change it quite yet.
