We're Making a Difference!?!?

Seems like there is some good news today!! Sunday is the day that new information for the week makes it's way to the public forum and it seems that this weeks talking points are good for the conservative cause.
  • The administration is now realizing that "there are not the votes in the United States Senate for the public option. There never have been..." according to Sen Conrad (D-N.D.) who was working on the bill.
  • Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius also said on CNN's 'State of the Union' that the public option is "not the essential element" in the reform effort.
  • White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said "What I am saying is the bottom line for this for the president is, what we have to have is choice and competition in the insurance market"
  • Others like Republican Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama are now agreeing that this move is "something we should look at."
  • They are now looking at nonprofit insurance cooperatives instead of the public option.
  • According to Wikipedia a cooperative is a "autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise. It is a business organization owned and operated by a group of individuals for their mutual benefit. A cooperative may also be defined as a business owned and controlled equally by the people who use its services or who work at it. Cooperative enterprises are the focus of study in the field of cooperative economics"
